I agree, is not a 1 and a 0 or black and white but yes younger
people are not used to put any efford to learn things, and
most people never had to use MSDOR/Solaris/Sun/AIX code in
C/Cobol/Pascal etc.. for the python and using pre-made frameworks and
pre-made social networks is the only thing they can focus on.

Let's see if I can follow up properly this time... I think the concern
is that if you do not have any idea how something works, then you are at
the mercy of those that do. Tech companies know this and are flooding
the market with black-box-babysitters which primarily act as spyware.
For example Windows 11:
https://www.techspot.com/news/97535-windows-11-spyware-machine-out-users-control.html

Coupled with a global decline in "literacy" more generally
(https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/12/5/unprecedented-decline-in-global-literacy-scores-osce-report-says)...

It's a bit like learning languages and speaking them natively. Often the
people that are worst to understand in speaking and writing are native
speakers, because they aren't used to putting any effort into it.

Proximity blindness? I think that's pretty credible. However,
familiarity breeds complacency.
